Each year The Waterford at Deer Park Community raises funds to go toward the fight against Alzheimer’s disease in partnership with The Longest Day.
The Longest Day, the summer solstice, is the day with the most light. On June 20, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice. Together they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
This year, The Waterford at Deer Park Community is utilizing the Cards for a Cause fundraising program from Usborne Books & More both to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association, and to promote connection between friends & family that comes from simply sending a greeting card. We greatly appreciate your support of these goals!

Cards for a Cause offers five quality keepsake boxes with beautifully detailed cards. The Holiday Box contains 50 cards with white envelopes, while all other boxes contain 30 cards with matching envelopes. Each box costs $30, plus tax. These gorgeous cards are an incredible value at roughly $1 each! They easily compare with the $5 cards you might find in popular retail stores. If you are not local to Deer Park & the surrounding areas, we are happy to ship your cards to you. Even with the cost of shipping added in, you pay less than $1.50 per card!
